Description: I'm working on the migration of the hosting for the pmwiki.org website.

Following the discovery of a critical PHP vulnerability for old PHP versions, with Pm being extremely busy, we decided for me to take over the hosting on a new server.

I've been working on this for the last few weeks.

See mailing list message: https://www.pmichaud.com/pipermail/pmwiki-users/2026-October/065645.html

As of 2026-11-07, the webserver at pmwiki.org redirects to pmwiki.net which I control and can manage and upgrade. Once Pm finds the time to update the DNS records, I'll be able to configure the server to respond to pmwiki.org requests without redirection.

  • Subversion is still reachable on the pmwiki.org domain name: svn://pmwiki.org/pmwiki/tags/latest; this may be repatriated here.
    • Also reachable on the pmichaud.com domain name: svn://pmichaud.com/pmwiki/tags/latest
  • The mailing lists are still at the pmichaud.com domain name https://www.pmichaud.com/mailman/listinfo/; potentially this may change.

NginX is a server with a different configuration from Apache, so I'm migrating things in steps.

I'm making some changes to the structure that should allow me to easily install new wikis and test different PmWiki/PHP versions, and more easily upgrade/downgrade.

To do (as soon as practical):

  • prerelease packing script
  • release packing script, updates
  • i18n packing script
  • backups
  • $EnableNotify - with SMTP

Pages that need to be checked if there are errors/warnings:

  • Cookbook
  • Skins
  • Test

All installed skins and cookbook recipes need to be checked for PHP compatibility, and updated, or disabled in the meantime.

Please report anything that doesn't work or shows warnings. You can contact me at 5ko [snail] 5ko [period] fr or leave a message below.

I'll be working by order of priority.
